I buy food every single day. Do I really think about what it took to make this food? North Carolina has 9 million pigs. New Jersey has 9 million people. Pigs produce 10 times the feces that a human being does. And so we have waste treatment plans to deal with human feces in New Jersey, but they don't have those for pigs. Most of these pigs are Chinese-owned company locating themselves in historically African-American communities. One Vietnam veteran told me about leaving to go fight in the Vietnam War and coming home and becoming a prisoner's house. They put them in these massive lagoons and they spray that feces over fields.
