The Iniquity of Ephraim
Ephraim was exalted in Israel, but he incurred guilt through Baal and died. The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up, his sin is kept in store. I will destroy you, O Israel. Who can help you? Where now is your king to save you? Psalm 109: For wicked and deceitful mouths are speaking against me. Be not silent, O God of my praise; even as I make prayer for them that they may love me without cause.
