The Zeal of the Convert

The zeal of the convert happens to individuals when they've never had that kind of structure in their lives. And because i thought that jesus christ was in some way responsible for that experience, i i became a christian and i began to zealously defend whatever doctrines that particular church I gave to me. It seemed like the obvious thing to do. But at that time i became very obnoxious,. precisely for the reason i explained in the book, which is that i wasn't raised with a religion at all. If if i had not been through that process, i wouldn't know the bible as well as i do now.
