The Different Types of Judges in Florida
There is a wheel in Florida, which cases are randomly assigned. But it's not the case that all of the judges within the district would be in that wheel. So for instance, if you're a senior judge, you can say, well, I'm only willing to sit on a case. A magistrate judge then is sort of automatically connected.
