The Russians Are Using Projectiles to Kill People
CNN's Victoria Arbiter visited Bakhmud in Ukraine. She describes the fighting as 'horrendous' and says troops are being thrown into a killing zone. The Russians have conscripted and mobilised thousands of troops, she writes. But they haven't given them very much training or proper weapons to use against Ukrainian forces. It reminds her of Iran during the 1980s Iraq War when children were sent across minefields for their advancing infantry.
