What's the Real Definition of a Recession?

There's been a significant reduction in consumer confidence, particularly when you look at the university michigan survey. We're obviously a below trend froma conference board survey as well. Now we now were sort of in the ppep of the process where there is a crisis of confidence that is very much being observed. A recession is when you're seeing that broad based across th economy, across multiple sectors. And so n terms of a walking you through o that might look like on the grou i think the first thing that matters is there's been a major drop in consumer confidence.
