There's a lot of payoffs that would not work if the rest of the season didn't work as well as it did. I love again that we wake up the next day and she does another injection. And there's nothing more helpless than having the solution and having no idea how to use it. It was shocking when in the last of us, the game, you wake up, so to speak, as Ellie,. The screen goes black and now you're playing as Ellie. Playing as Ellie and not knowing if it was going to be okay is really scary.
