Will Ferrell and Dwight
I remember not being worried. Maybe I was just really naive about how things work. But when we found out that Will Ferrell was going to be there for a few episodes, I was like, oh, they're smart. They're really smart. We're going to have this great bridge and they've got it all figured out. It's harder to replace the central character partly because of the dynamics of how the show was written. For instance, Dwight was not conceived to be the central character. And I think he grew into it a lot more as he matured.
