The Portuguese Revolution

The last time we looked at Portugal was during the French revolution, the Napoleonic Wars. The Portuguese royal family stayed in Brazil until 1821. Lisbon did not become the capital of Portugal again until Brazil declared its independence in 1822. So basically Brazil says, yeah, we'll be independent. You can go home now.
