"Calvin and Hobbs is just like the art is here is like Calvin's head in the bottom quarter of a panel and then above it is just like a wall of text," he says. "Garfield is doing more of a funny paper thing where it takes like seven seconds to read a Garfield strip and you don't really have to think about it much." He adds that Jim Davis doesn't often play with cartoon logic, at least not in these strips.
