What Is Cement?

Towoe masonology is a weekly, offbeat look at the science of Masonry. This week's episode focuses on metamorphic rocks and how they harden over time. In sedimentary rocks water can deposit little bits of essentially cement in between them to hold that together. And so sometimes this tiny bit of mineral will weld those loose pieces of sediment back together.
