Creating Constrictions and Openings in the Back of the Mouth
Guitar is a flexible resonance tube. It's not like a guitar, where this resonance body is fixed. We tend to want to create constrictions and openings where they don't necessarily serve us. If you take in a deep, relaxed breath, you'll feel your larynx drop. So there we have that part of the vocal tract more open. And then a little bit of constriction at the top of the throat. What that does is that gives us a bit of energy. I'm not going to go deep into the acoustics to day, but i'm going to talk about it from the practical however.
