Why Are There So Few Penalties for Human Trafficking?
There are 25 million people believed to be held in all forms of human trafficking and servitude, including that in the commercial sex industry. In 20 21 there were one thousand 379 prosecutions for force labor in the entire world. Seven federal prosecutors prosecuted a total of seven force labor cases in the united states last year.
