Is the Mother's Placenta Sterile?
The foetus is, of course, the baby, and the pacenta is the structure inside the mam. People have been finding bacteria in the intestines, in the guts of foetus. So before they're even born, there's some bacteria in their guts. That has set people to stop thinking maybe the fet es are getting colonized with bacteria even before they're born. And then that comes up the question, where is that coming from? Is it coming from the mother's gut? Is it Coming From The Mother’s placenta? Those are some of the very exciting new areas of discovery and investigation going on in this field right now.
