The Graspalz Cars: A History
Mercedes went to Le Mans in 1991, which makes it eligible for this list. The C11 had quite a long gestation period and the original tubs were built in Switzerland. Jean-Louis Schlester actually did qualify it fastest despite the presence of three and half liters. This Mazda 787B now, taking that particularly seriously, is gradually working its way out.
