The Revolt of the Comunidores in Spain

In 17 81, yet another rebellion broke out up in new granada. The authorities tried to squeeze greater profits from their liquor and tobacco monopolies. They pursued the sales tax with renewed vigor once again. And then introduced completely new taxes that no one had ever had to pay before. This kicked off what would soon dubbed the revolt of the communeros.
