What Is the Concept of One?

In 19 o three, witgenstein reads bertrand russell's book on the principles of mathematics. The problem with math just by itself is that it's kind of its own institution. It's not really useful at informing decision making or helping us think correctly about things. But if we try to emulate what people are ing in mathematics, to try to apply that process to things that do physically exist, see if we can get the same level of certainty about things. This has been tried dozens of times all throughout history, but it's still an intriguing prospect.
