The Argument for Putin's Invasion of Ukraine
Few people will say, I totally agree that Putin should have invaded Ukraine. What they'll say is, well, I don't agree with Putin's invasion, but, and as someone once told me, when there's a but in a sentence, you never pay attention to anything before the but. It's everything after the but is the key. So the argument you're making is essentially the enemy of my enemy is my friend. And since Vladimir Putin for conservatives in America also doesn't like these more progressive culture changing ideas, then he's our ally. He's our friend. But even if you agreed with some of his policies, how does that justify not condemning his unilateral invasion?
