Do Dogs Understand Video Calls?

i often wonder how much dogs and pets in general understand, enjoy and want a video call. And if so, do they like it, or does it creep them out? Tell you the dagger, if you, if you face time dagger, he hates it. He won't look at the screen. Is that what a dog is looking for with regard to connection with owner? You know? Cause i feel like smell and proximity and all that stuff probably plays a big part in dog that videocall is just not going to deliver. H hah. Am because because sol is trapped in box.
