The Ethics of Dusting in Semenar Seven
Lacon left us in the lurch. We're left wonderingwahat would be this connection. But i think that if you take this problem of dusting seriously, and particularly when you're encouraged, i just want to go back for two seconds to the question of the paternal metaphor. And e if we then take that really seriously, i think what we get is a liconian book that hasn't been written. It's precisely that it is an anxiety producing void that the infant cannot negotiate. The child shifts its investment from the maternal body to the signifier.
