Introduction
Since the beginning of computing chess has been studied as a means of proving computing intelligence. This is a topic pretty close to me because my dad was both an international chess master and he also did a PhD in machine intelligence. If we can make a computer play chess well, then it's really showing that it has some human-like abilities. We'll get into all of that today.
