It was the height of the recession in ireland, which was very dark. The only gigs that were available to us were night club tours. But maybe only 50 % of the audience want to see you. So we have to do these gigs where you've got some people going, but a lot of people going, get off the stage. Folk you throwin bottles at us. That's really an unpleasant sustained period of time. And like, if it wasn't for horse outside in that tour, i'd just had to move to australia, wit my friends. I'd probably never have become a professional artist.
