The Effect of Apple's Privacy Changes on Game Installs
The first key finding was when comparing 2021 to 2022, you see an 8% increase in game installs on Android and the 5% decrease on iOS. So, what does this key finding tell us about how gamers are behaving on these two platforms? Well, from an advertising perspective, I think it's pretty clear that Apple's changes in privacy have led to some pretty challenging headwinds in regards to that platform. It's becoming potentially more profitable than it was before to invest in Android rather than iOS.
