The Importance of Competency Based Frameworks

End point assessment and even new methods, especially in England, are breaching out. It just blows my mind a little bit. I'm sure it's Germany that got this competency teacher tap. And actually, to suggest that somebody is competent by them being able to pass an exam isn't the same as saying they are competent in doing that skill repeatedly. The ability to be able to repeat that over time and in context rather than just learning to pass a test. That doesn't necessarily mean that you're competent. Whether or not standing anything else just identifies competency in a particular thing. There's a need for something more.
