The Importance of Reaching a Wider Audience
When I wrote the book, I imagined a designer. That was my audience. And I knew I would go narrow and hoped it would have a broader appeal. Ironically, today, 11 years later, the training that we do for companies that are outside of that area of focus might be as high as 20% now. So I'm aiming at the audience that I know and love and want to support. If others outside of that target find resonance in it, they're welcome.
