The Marxist Version of Socialism in Poor Countries
The traditional Marxist view was that communist revolution in a poor country would inevitably fail. In Marx's view, it was the most developed capitalist countries where you'd have big socialist revolutions. Only then could you have socialism come to poor countries and share its knowledge with peasants there. Many Marxists believe that if revolutionaries in a poor nation manage to seize power this would just end up turning into a horrible dictatorship.
