The Unmooredness of Justice Thomas
Dalia Drexler: I just have a bajillion questions having listened to the show. The thing that is so interesting to me as somebody who, you know, I've read Justice Thomas' autobiography. And yet I'm just so struck by this sort of instability of his identity. He went from plans to be a priest at seminary to embracing deeply a black nationalism and then pinging from that to reverence from Thomas' soul and Ayn Rand. So yeah, he kind of settled on an identity, but certainly the way into that GOP machine was that they wanted him.
