How to Sedate a Patient for Apnea
Versed and fentanyl together have a high rate of causing apnea. Remi-fentanyl is a great option for this. Ketamine another good option although you really want to use an anti-syalagog because ketamine can cause increased secretions. There are some other fiber optic intubation techniques that may be better than fiber optic bronchoscopy. And then pressadex was found to be better in terms of not causing as many desaturations.
