Nuclear Weapons and Artificial Intelligence Are Fundamentally Misguided
I think building nuclear weapons was a mass ofe mistake, probably. Do you think so? Maybe pause on that, because that is one of the serious threats. It's quite possible, if world war two hadn't happened, that nuclear weapons wouldn't have been invented. We don't know how to build either system currently, or are we even close to knowing. The other fear is that we'll be collateral damage. That will give artificial intelligence a goal, like make paper clips and it will pursue that goal so brilliantly that before we can stop it, it turns us into paper clips.
