The Blood of the Innocent Is Going to Be on Your Hands
We need to read the gospel in the context of all that we've read before. The early Christians didn't see themselves as starting a new religion. They saw themselves as no were Jews and Judaism is now fulfilled. And so when we have these difficult passages about condemning, essentially looking like it's condemning the Jewish people, it's not a condemnation from these new Christians. It's a condemnation of a Jewish prophet saying that.
