What Happens When a Language Dies?

Eklavvya Bharacharya: India has a huge list of endangered languages, just like endangered species. She says that when the language dies, its speakers decide to migrate. The traditional patterns of livelihood go down and they may have some special skill set that disappears. Every language has a unique worldview, but when the language is lost, that way of looking at the world is lost.
