The Complexity of Systems and the Exploit Dilemma

The explore versus exploit dichotomy is one of the many, many dichotomies that exist in thinking strategically about things. The sweet spot is almost always somewhere in the middle, but we don't know where. I think as long as the problem space and the solution space is continually changing, we are going to be pushed more towards exploration and exploitation. But it's really important also to sort of talk about the way in which we do the exploration because you can do exploration where everybody decides that the thing to explore that will solve all our problems is AI.
