Australia and China - What's the Red Line?

I honestly get perplexed by some of the discussion about China policy, Darren. It all seems reasonably easy to me. You say what you want from the relationship clearly and calmly, and you say what you don't want. And you do it in language which is addressed to the Chinese government rather than to a domestic audience. This would be a strategic speech, if you like. There will still be a lot of room for tactical manoeuvrability about the issues of the day. I'd say there's much potential to take our relationship even further both bilaterally and internationally. We're absolutely committed to a long-term constructive partnership based on mutual respect.
