Is There Something Artificially Camperon Storage?

Hardnest went rapidly up a storag. They were virtually doubling every year in the base capacity. Yet we're still stuck on, you know, apple still sells matbooks with two eight and and two, five six is very common. Is something artificial going on here? The manufacturers are using that as an excuse to hold on... And force you to pay extra up grades.
