The Death of Napoleon
In 1808 Napoleon decides that it'd be much better if he installed an effective puppet ruler in Spain. The Spanish population rise up in revolt and you see something called the Peninsula War. From 1808 to 1814 Britain is able to send a force that actually they were about to send to take Spanish colonies in South America. It's redirected under the command of Sir Arthur Wellesley, who of course many are listeners will know goes on to become the Duke of Wellington.
