I've always had some kind of optimism that we can figure out a way through this. I did think the change wiuld come quicker after, you know, michael brown and ferguson. But just because it takes longer than it should doesn't mean it's never going to happen. There seems to be this common idea that if only people would have been more compliant, then there would have been a different outcome. They would not have died. It's easy for us to sort of blame the person who died. At the same time, they are nations with less crime and less police why can't we recognize that, generally speaking, people commit crimes out of deprivation and poverty and unemployment
