The Effects of Inertial Mass on Motion
Inertial mass is the property of objects to move in a straight line and not accelerate unless a force acts on them. Dress says that the Higgs boson doesn't have a force associated with it. The reason we don't say it's the mediator of a force is that it's not themediator of like a fundamental force, such as electromagnetism or the strong force.
