I Stake My Claim, Gawayne, and the Green Knight Ride In
In the first section of the mediaeval poem, we see the green knight ride in. He has a tremendous battle axe with which he's ready to behead whoever challenges him. And initially there is silence. No knight is ready to take up this. Arthur the king himself, under pressure, begins to accept the bargain. But finally gawayne steps forward and says "i stake my claim"
