Domestic Politics - Is Free Trade Good Politics in the United States?

Sokatty: I think the crux of the issue is really that free trade is bad politics in the united states. It's bad politics for democrats, bad politics or republicans,. And i think there are people in the binde administration who recognize the value of free trade. But just in the current domestic political climate, when you have a president who's talked about building policy for the middle class, it's very difficult to sell this domestically.
