Their voices matched the kind of personas they were portraying on screen. Stan laurel is has kind of like a flat accent, and hes, you know, talks slow,. While hardy is loud and boisterous and trying to take control. There's something just a little bit weird and off about the sounds of their voices. Even though their voices match them perfectly, they don't become verbal comedians because they have been trained in the art of vaudeville.
