Korean dramas first caught on in the West for their melodramatic and maybe what? Inachronistic qualities. Now it's not just these stylized neo-noirs, now it's art films of all kinds. Parasite is one where I started to watch it and I punched out. It was something I was watching on my computer instead of having paid to see.
