The History of Le Cap, the Capital of the American Colony
On the eve of the revolution, le cap was the capital of the colony. The city rapidly grew and soon became known as the paris of the antilles. It boasted o 15 hundred seat theatre cafes, philosophical societies, the works. By the time of the rev lution, the city had a population of nearly 20 thousand - roughly the size of boston.
