The Importance of Irrelevant Information in Education
I think it's truly remarkable as you look at kids and what they learn just how much irrelevant stuff is taught to kids. It's tragic because children should be wasting their time learning this relevant information. A lot of education even at university level is just memorizing names of dinosaurs that you're never going to see. And there needs to be a refocus on those types of things that will have real value in our day-to-day lives.
