Is the 21st Amendment the End of Prohibition?
The 21st Amendment was the end of prohibition. We were entering a new phase of liberalism, one that was less concerned with these ideas of moral censure and vice. The anti-umlessies, anti-absinity forces from the early 20th century,. certainly through the 60s and 70s, was a project of the cultural left.
