The Role of Orthopedics in Shoulder Symptom Modification
There are a finite number of structures in the shoulder that could be causing symptoms. The problem is our shoulder specific tests are not capable of identifying definitively the structure, so we have a problem. For me in my practice I've reproduced the patient's symptoms and then it becomes the mystery-solving procedure of where those symptoms may be coming from. But more importantly from the patient's perspective, what can we do to alleviate or reduce those symptoms? And I wouldn't be concentrating personally on its destruction, this is what I'm going to do about it. That's something I published in the British General of Sports Medicine a few years ago.
