The Baltimore Museum of Art opened an exhibition entitled The Culture, Hip Hop and Contemporary Art in the 21st Century. Director Asma Nyeen says hip hop is a second pop art movement but far more layered,. polyphonic, commodified, sustained than the 1960s won. "Hip hop is the most popular cultural movement of our time," she adds.
