The Immune System and Individuality

How doe your ideas about how the immune system functions? How do those change our concept of what is yell? That's a fundamental question, isn't it? I've written two papers with scott gilbert which basicly argue that individuality is a anthropocentric idea. It's what we have the ability to count. And so where do you draw the line between us and them? From a biological of view, it seems to me that we canre compet artificial lines of demarcation. But from a evolutionary point of view, i don't know where that line is drawn.
