The Debt Limit and the X-State
President Biden has spoken with all four congressional leaders from both parties and set a meeting for May 9th to discuss the debt limit. The X-State is being moved up by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to the beginning of June, as opposed to what many on Wall Street had expected in July or even August. We will see if they can cobble together a counter offer in the coming days or if they will continue digging in their heels.
