The History of Philosophy and Science in the Islamic World

By the 14th century we are already seeing the rise of the Ottomans in Anatolia. The most original philosophical minds were often religious scholars, theologians and jurists. They will express their originality by attacking, adapting, and adopting Avicenna's ideas. This phenomenon I suggest calling Avicenna scholasticism.
