The US Postal Service has lost money in each of the past 14 years, including more than $9 billion last year. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy recently unveiled his 10-year plan to balance the Post Office's budget. He proposes raising the price of first-class stamps and slowing down the mail so that the average letter takes five days to reach its destination instead of three.
